What, if any gun laws/restrictions/probations/qualifications do you think is needed or acceptable? Where do you draw the line?

One of the only things I think that should be MANDATORY is a safety class. It makes sense. You must take a drivers ed coursse in order to get your lisence so that you can hopefully drive safer. Having a class so that you know how to use, be around and have other people be around a gun safely is not a bad thing. It will help with "accidental discharges" and anything of the sort, lives could be saved if people knew how to operate the equipment safely. Military branches do not trust the fact that you may have been brought up around guns. They teach you how to use them and be around them so you dont hurt yourself or the people that you do not want to hurt. Safety thats what should be being pushed not control
